I picked this car up and may of 2000 and it was love at first sight! I mean whats not to love? Black 6speed T-tops? Z28?? Come on!! 5.7L 16V V-8 3.42 gears putting out 275HP and 325TQ, god you gotta love this car! I had ordered a Borla catback for the car before I even got it and Ive keep modding the car since I had it. Next was a set of 17" Camaro SS wheels with P275/40ZR17 tires. After that I added in Arizona Speed&Marine 1 3/4 headers with a 2 1/2"Y-pipe. Also I swapped in Taylor 8.5mm sparkplug wires and new TGK TR55 plugs. Shortly after that I called up MTI and got there Cold Air kit for the Z.After that adventure I felt I still needed more power so I picked up a Powerdyne 6lb supercharger. After this the car had radically altered needs so I grabbed a new Ignition and fuel pump. I figure with a good tune the car can turn 385 rear-wheel horsepower.
